The Designer
Born in England, a fourth-generation military tailor. Neil studied at both Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art.
Immediately after his graduation, Neil was recruited to work at Gucci, where he was appointed Senior Men’s Designer.
After five years with Gucci, Neil approached Prada’s CEO Patrizio Bertelli proposing the start of a men’s line: Prada Menswear was born with Neil as Design Director.
Enormously influential, Neil’s work under Prada Uomo and Prada Sport labels was instrumental in establishing a blueprint of minimal menswear.
Neil chose to leave his dream job and to challenge himself by opening his own namesake Brand in 2000.
The Brand
Neil Barrett is a niche luxury brand and it is well known to create elevated, innovative and distinctive designs, blending sartorial and athletic elements.
Balancing fashion innovation with wearability, the hallmarks of the Neil Barrett label are a modern interpretation of the daily uniform, masculine and ageless with acute attention to fit, fabric development and accurate detailing.
Throughout the years, the label became a favourite of A-list actors, musicians and sportsmen such as Brad Pitt, Ewan McGregor, Mark Ruffalo, Orlando Bloom, Jamie Dornan, Justin Timberlake and James Harden.
